One Senryu & Two Haiku- September 11, 2019

Some missing pieces

So then can you call it love?

Like a Sappho poem.

Late summer crickets

The houseplant’s tendrils creeping

Towards florescent light.

The moon not quite full

Warm for early September

Two stray cats yowling.

Three Haiku – May 19, 2019

On the path ahead

A bluejay’s missing feather

Shimmers with sunlight.

Here the twisted roots

Furrow the face of the hill

Bare to wind and rain.

Holly, who was queen

All through the leafless winter

Languishes in shade.
