Three Haiku- August 12, 2016

Three ospreys fishing

The heron on the sandbar

Is content to rest.

This love’s so vivid

I must have been colorblind

My eyes overwhelmed.

I once saw two trees

Birch and oak, their roots entwined

They grew in embrace.

Three Haiku, July 26, 2016

My friend died alone.

Some dark road at Christmas time

Only now I mourn.

No sleep anymore

But the most beautiful dreams

When the sun runs off.

When will you return?

Across the lonesome ocean

Unanswered letters.
